Moving to a new host shouldn't be stressful. Follow our streamlined guide to migrate your data without a single second of downtime.
1. Duplicate the Data
Export your database and package your files into a ZIP archive. Upload both to your new Ypsilon server.
2. Import and Test
Extract your files and import your database. Before changing your DNS, modify your local computer's hosts file to point your domain to the new Ypsilon IP address. This lets you browse the cloned site privately and test its functionality.
Testing phase: Make sure to test all contact forms, checkout flows, and login pages while using the hosts file workaround.3. Update DNS
Once you confirm the site works perfectly on Ypsilon, update your nameservers. Because both the old and new sites are identical, your visitors will experience zero downtime during propagation!
