When you manage a Staging site (a clone of your live site where you test new designs and plugins), the WP Toolkit Sync feature allows you to merge those changes to production flawlessly.
How to Sync WP Changes
- Go to WordPress in the side menu.
- Locate your Staging/Clone installation (e.g., `staging.yourdomain.com`).
- Click the Sync button underneath the thumbnail.
- You must choose the destination (your primary, live domain).
- Critical Choice: What to Sync?
- Files Only: Overwrites WordPress core, plugins, patterns, and themes. Use this if you only made design changes or added new plugins.
- Database Only: Overwrites posts, pages, and settings.
- Everything: Fully overwrites the live site. (Use with caution!)
- Click Sync.
Automatic Restore Point: WP Toolkit is exceptionally smart. Before it overwrites your live database or files, it automatically creates a restore point. If the synchronization causes an error on the live site, you can instantly revert the sync with a single click!
