Understanding who visits your website and how much bandwidth they consume is crucial for scaling your online business. Plesk includes robust, built-in analytics tools.
Accessing Traffic Statistics
To view detailed statistics for your website:
- Go to Websites & Domains.
- Expand the advanced tools panel for your domain by clicking the arrow (if it's not already fully visible).
- Click on Web Statistics.
This will open your statistics software in a new tab. Depending on your server's configuration, you will be viewing either AWStats or Webalizer. You will be prompted to enter your FTP username and password to access this secure report.
Understanding the Data
- Unique Visitors: The number of distinct individuals who visited your site.
- Pages / Hits: How many specific files (images, HTML documents) were loaded.
- Bandwidth: The total amount of data transferred out of your server. This is critical for ensuring you don't exceed your hosting plan's monthly limits.
