Plesk's WP Toolkit is a powerful management interface that allows you to install, secure, and update WordPress instances with a single click.
Installing WordPress
To install a new WordPress site, open Plesk and go to WordPress in the left menu, or click the Install WordPress button directly on your domain's card.
- Fill in the installation path (leave blank to install on the main domain).
- Provide a website title and an administrator username and password.
- Click Install. Plesk will automatically configure the database and download the latest version of WordPress.
Securing Your Site
Once installed, WP Toolkit will evaluate the security of your site. Click the Security Status link on your site's card. You can apply critical security measures—such as blocking author scans, restricting access to XML-RPC, and securing wp-includes—simply by checking the boxes and clicking Secure.
Cloning and Staging
Want to redesign your site without affecting the live version? Click the Clone button in WP Toolkit. Plesk will create an exact replica of your site on a subdomain. Once you are done making changes on the clone, you can use the Sync tool to push those changes back to the live site securely!
