Auto-Renewal is the safest way to ensure your domains and web hosting services don't expire unexpectedly due to a missed invoice email.
How Auto-Renewal Works
By default, when you register a new domain or buy a hosting package, Ypsilon enables Auto-Renewal. Here is the process:
- Our system generates a renewal invoice roughly 14 days prior to the actual expiration date of the domain.
- If you have a default payment method on file (like a Credit Card or active PayPal Billing Agreement), the system will automatically attempt to capture the payment on the invoice due date.
- Once payment is successful, the domain is renewed seamlessly at the registry for another year!
How to Disable Auto-Renewal
If you plan to let a domain expire or wish to cancel a project, you must turn off Auto-Renewal to prevent being billed.
- Log into your Ypsilon Client Area.
- Go to Domains > My Domains.
- Click the Manage (Wrench) icon next to the domain.
- Select Auto Renew from the left sidebar menu.
- Click the red Disable Auto Renew button.
